“The classical composer is given his – anyway not easy – task and responsibility in human society by Nature, if not even by the Creator: via his primordial musical talent and via his musical conscience. Here exists no reason for jealousy or resentment.”

SPIEGEL AFFAIR

In a three page article the German newsmagazine
DER SPIEGEL (engl. = THE MIRROR) runs storm against a classical composer and his work!

CLASSIC-LIFE
What a low-minded attitude must people have in our “country of poets and thinkers” who against better knowledge and by dishonest means denigrate a composer who is very obviously gifted by nature?

Why did the writers of the SPIEGEL publish – against better knowledge – the lies of Prof. Dr. Müller-Heuser: of the president of the GERMAN MUSIC COUNCIL – who quite obviously aims at a public denigration of the classical composer and musicologist Peter Hübner – printing these lies in their newsmagazine with over a million print run?

The writers of the SPIEGEL must have been aware of the fact, that they not only offend against decency and decorum with this article, but also straight against the media law too.
How can cunning, sly professionals of the media business be so stupid and risk so much?

They have to reckon on the fact, that this will leak out at some time! After all, they risk to lose their image of a reputable newsmagazine over night –  an image they

the imperfect disappears.”

constructed over years with a lot of effort and not less money and with painstaking attention to the detail! The competition downright waits for something like this.

AAR EDITION: When we gave the documents to the music editor of the SPIEGEL, Mr Umbach, at the music fair KLASSIK.KOMM – that is, still before their article – he told us that they would dig into it, bring light into the matter, enlighten and clarify it.

CLASSIC-LIFE: Then, however, you had to realize, that DER SPIEGEL printed the
“For enlightenment nothing else is needed than freedom,
namely the most harmless amongst all
what may be called freedom,
namely this one:
to make public use of one’s reason
in all aspects”

           Kant

  vilifications  of  Prof.  Dr. Mueller-Heuser

against the classical composer and musicologist Peter Hübner and presented it as “true”.
And this although the newsmagazine knew exactly, that it printed lies: the lies of the president of the German Music Council – the necessary documents of clarification, which enlightened the matter, the SPIEGEL held in its hands.

“Enlightenment is mankind’s exit from their dependence for which they have themselves to blame. Dependence is the lack of ability to use one’s mind without the direction of somebody else. This dependence is brought upon by oneself if the cause of this is not a lack of intelligence but of resolution and courage to use his intelligence without directions of somebody else. Sapere aude! Have the courage to use your own mind! Is therefore the motto of enlightenment.”
